Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Mustr ("we", "us") operates this website, usemustr.com.au, and the Mustr platform at app.usemustr.com.au. Mustr is operated by Michael Kriewaldt, trading as Gray Area Consulting, ABN 21 204 805 163, in Queensland, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect on this website

This website collects what you type into one of two forms. The demo request form asks for your name, company, email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number. The free trial form asks for your name, company and work email address. There is no other collection on this site, hidden or otherwise. If you don't submit either form, we don't collect anything about you.

Free trial workspaces

Starting a free trial creates a separate workspace for you, seeded with sample data. It is not connected to any live organisation's records, and it is not a place to put real workforce information. We use the details you give us to set the trial up and to talk to you about it. The workspace expires on its own, and you can ask us to remove it and the details sooner at privacy@usemustr.com.au.

How we use it

We use demo and trial details to get in touch, arrange the demo or set up the trial, and follow up afterwards. Submissions are stored in our customer relationship management system. We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to talking to you about Mustr.

Cookies, analytics and advertising measurement

This website uses a small set of measurement tools so we can see how the site is used and whether our advertising works. They can set cookies in your browser:

  • Google tag (Google Ads and Google Analytics). Measures visits, page views and ad performance, and supports remarketing, which means you may see our ads elsewhere after visiting. Google provides controls at adssettings.google.com and an analytics opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Shows us anonymised usage patterns such as scrolling, clicks and heatmaps so we can improve the site. Clarity masks typed content in its recordings by default.
  • LeadConnector visitor tracking. Records which pages on this site are visited. That activity stays anonymous unless you submit the demo form; if you do, your visit history on this site is linked to your enquiry in our customer relationship management system, so we have context when we get back to you.

These tools give us aggregate statistics. We don't use them to identify you personally, and the demo form remains the only place this site asks for your details. You can also limit or block cookies entirely through your browser settings; the site works fine without them.

The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google's servers. Like any web request, Google's servers see your IP address when that happens.

Personal information in the Mustr platform

The Mustr platform is invite-only. If you have an account, it was created by the organisation that rosters you or employs you. Depending on how they use Mustr, the platform can hold your name and contact details, competencies and certificates with their expiry dates, inductions, availability, and shift history.

That organisation controls its own workforce data. We host and process it on their behalf so they can roster crews and prove compliance. If you want something in the platform corrected or removed, the quickest path is through the organisation that manages your account. You can also contact us directly and we'll help.

Where your data lives

Mustr is hosted in a certified Australian data centre and your data stays onshore. Daily encrypted backups are held offsite, also in Australia. Every organisation's data is isolated at the database level.

Security

Every login uses two-factor authentication, with no exceptions. Data is encrypted in transit, and the platform gets a quarterly security review. No system is beyond risk, but if we become aware of a data breach that's likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify the people affected and the regulator as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run Mustr, such as our Australian hosting facility, our email delivery service and our customer relationship management system, and only for that purpose. We'll also disclose information where the law requires it. That's the full list.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@usemustr.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email privacy@usemustr.com.au and we'll look into it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes affecting platform users will also be communicated through the organisations that manage their accounts.
